Mui Ne, Vietnam - Day 1

Mui Ne is a fishing town turned resort where you can find youth hostels, backpackers and high-end luxury hotels and spas. Despite recent tourist development it is definitely worth visiting. If you go, stay on the bus, pass all the snazzy resorts, and pick a place closer to the original fishing town - you will find peace and quiet for very very little money in this tropical beach paradise. It is one of the most breathtakingly beautiful places I have ever seen. I spent 4 days there... this is day 1.

Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

I spent my first 48 hours in Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City, formally known as Saigon. Motorbikes whizzed by beeping and tooting their horns, the smell of lemon grass and fresh lime lured me to every corner, heat and humidity forced my shoulders to relax and painted a smile on everyone's face. The city felt like a living, breathing being and I was in love. After 12 hours I was already thinking about when and how I could make it back for more.

Tumblring Day 4 - UCCA Workshop II

Sorry! The weekend was hectic, the weather was beautiful (blue skies in Beijing!) and I just couldn't be bothered to sit in front of my computer.

Last November I held my second "Art Discoveries at UCCA" series. Based on Liu Jianhua's exhibition, Screaming Walls, we called this workshop Delicious Drips. The artist used black porcelain to create the effect of drips down the white walls of UCCA's central gallery. We used india ink, watercolor and chocolate to experiment with drips... it was a blast!

Yesterday was workshop number 4. Let's hope I can put up the pictures from yesterday's workshop before July! Ha!
